Users opt in from their authenticated account profile under notification settings. The example below shows the SMS toggle and the disclosure text presented during opt-in.

After enabling SMS notifications, the user must verify phone ownership via a one-time SMS verification code before reminders are activated.
Users can disable SMS notifications at any time in account settings.
Note: The example above is provided for carrier verification of the opt-in call to action. The actual setting is available to logged-in users within their account profile.
How users opt in
SMS notifications are optional. Users enable SMS alerts in their account profile and verify their phone number via a one-time SMS code before notifications are activated.
